Legion seeks new members

LUMBERTON - The William Hoy Curtis American Legion Auxiliary Unit 72 is looking for new members seeking to contribute to the support of veterans, troops and the community. The unit meets the fourth Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. at the new fire station on FM 421 in Lumberton. Eligibility requirements include: a woman who is eligible for membership in The American Legion is also eligible to join the American Legion Auxiliary; the mother, wife, daughter, sister, granddaughter, great-granddaughter or grandmother of members and deceased veterans who served in the United States Armed Forces during the listed war eras are eligible; step relatives are also eligible. West-Hardin senior lunches

WEST HARDIN - The West Hardin Senior Citizen Center offers a nutritious lunch Monday Friday for $2 to persons 60 and older. Games and socialization are a side enjoyment prior to lunch and all senior citizens are welcome. Meals must be ordered one day in advance. The Center is located on Hwy 105 in Batson.
